Introduction
MARL International Limited was found in 1973 in Ulverston that produces large-scale custom lighting systems, as well as rugged LED components. We work closely with the defence and rail industries, as well as producing speciality lighting for creative applications. Marl became part of the Glamox group in August 2024.
What you'll do
We are looking for a hands-on and organised Assembly Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will help run smooth, efficient production lines. You will guide team members, track manufacturing orders, and keep our quality standards high. If you are a natural leader who loves improving processes and solving problems, we want to hear from you.
Manage Production: Make sure all orders finish on time and match quality standards. Use kit checks, inspections, and our ERP system (software used to manage business operations).
Organise the Team: Assign tasks to operators based on daily workload and capacity. Track attendance, punctuality, and holidays.
Support and Grow Staff: Coach team members and set up formal training to help them improve.
Drive Improvements: Find new ways to make production faster, smarter, and cheaper while keeping quality high.
Lead by Example: Read and interpret technical drawings, maintain discipline, and keep company procedures up to date.
Step Up: Provide cover for the Senior Production Supervisor whenever needed.
Who you are
Have electrical or electronics background advantageous.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
5 GCSE's at grade C or above including English & Math's.
Comfortable communicating with colleagues to demonstrate, maintain and actively promote the company, policies and strategy.
