Product Engineer
Solve technical challenges and shape better lighting products at Glamox in Molde, working across engineering, production and sales in a collaborative international team.
Introduction
Are you motivated by solving technical challenges, improving products and working close to production? Glamox Production Molde is looking for a Product Engineer with expertise in electrical engineering or electronics to join our team.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of products, manufacturing, quality and customer needs. You will help ensure that our products are reliable, well-documented and continuously improved, while supporting colleagues across the organisation with practical technical expertise.
What you’ll do
As a Product Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the product portfolio at Glamox Production Molde. The role is closely connected to daily operations in the factory and requires collaboration across manufacturing, sales, quality, laboratory, purchasing and other functions.
You will:
Work closely with production to solve technical challenges and improve products, quality and manufacturability.
Maintain and improve product data, technical documentation, specifications and bills of materials.
Support engineering change processes and ensure product updates are implemented in a structured way.
Contribute to root-cause analyses, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with sales and other stakeholders to identify suitable technical solutions for customers.
Help ensure that products meet relevant internal requirements, standards and compliance expectations.
Take ownership of assigned product families and contribute to their ongoing performance and reliability.
The position reports to the Product Engineering Manager, who is part of the factory management team.
Who you are
You are technically curious, structured and detail-oriented, and you enjoy understanding how products work in practice.
You are comfortable solving technical problems, following up details and taking ownership of tasks. You communicate well with people from different disciplines and are able to explain technical topics in a clear and practical way.
We believe you have:
Relevant education or experience in electrical engineering, electronics or a closely related technical field.
A structured and analytical approach to technical problem-solving.
Interest in production, product quality and continuous improvement.
The ability to work with product data, documentation and technical specifications.
Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
Experience from a manufacturing environment is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Why join Glamox?
At Glamox, you will join a leading global company in professional lighting and become part of a strong technical environment at our manufacturing site in Molde.
As a Product Engineer, you will work close to both products and production, with real influence on quality, reliability and continuous improvement. You will take ownership of assigned product families, support practical problem-solving across the organisation and contribute to technical solutions that matter for our customers.
We offer a varied and independent role with broad collaboration, professional development opportunities and the chance to make a visible impact in a company with long industrial traditions and a strong position in the market.
