Product Developer – Embedded Software & Hardware

At Glamox Marine, Offshore & Wind, we develop advanced lighting systems used in some of the world’s most demanding environments – from offshore installations to defense applications. Now, we’re looking for a Product Developer – Embedded Software & Hardware who wants to shape the next generation of intelligent searchlight platforms.
In this role, you won’t just write code – you’ll help define solutions. You’ll work across embedded systems, Linux platforms, and hardware integration, contributing directly to products where performance, reliability, and innovation are critical.
You’ll join a highly collaborative R&D team where ideas are tested early, disciplines work closely together, and your contributions have real impact on the final product.
What you'll work on
Develop software for next-generation searchlight systems – spanning embedded and Linux-based platforms
Work hands-on with system integration, ensuring hardware and software perform seamlessly together
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable development cycles
Contribute to secure-by-design solutions, integrating cybersecurity into our products
Develop and refine video processing capabilities for advanced functionality
Collaborate closely with electronics, mechanics, and product teams to bring concepts to life
Take part in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of our development practices
Contribute across product areas – your competence will be valued beyond a single project

Your background
Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in Embedded Software & Hardware
Experience with embedded systems and/or Linux development
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
Understanding of system integration; experience with cybersecurity is a plus
Familiarity with video processing is an advantage
Comfortable communicating in English (Scandinavian language skills are a plus)
